DALLAS–A new guide to successful magnet high schools published by the U.S. Department of Education names Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts as one of eight high school successes nationwide.
The guide—Innovations in Education: Successful Magnet High Schools, is written for policy-makers, district and school staff, as well as educators and parents interested in understanding what successful magnet schools offer.
Successful Magnet High Schools profiles magnet high schools across the country that are successfully preparing students for college and the workforce, offering a culture of high-quality teaching, providing rigorous academic programs, promoting equity, forging partnerships, and modeling innovation in their communities.
