Students Will Receive Hands-On Assistance With Admission Applications, During the 10th Annual 'Keys to Success' College Fair
DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District, along with the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas County Community College District and several universities, will host the 10th Annual "Keys to Success" college fair on Saturday, March 7, from 8 a.m. to noon, at Cedar Valley Community College, 3030 N. Dallas Ave.
The free fair is open to Dallas ISD 11th and 12th graders and their parents. During the fair, participants will learn from college representatives about how to prepare for college, apply for financial aid, and will receive assistance to submit college applications. Students need to bring the following documents: a copy of their parents' 2008 income tax return, a copy of their high school transcript, and a copy of their college admissions essay (if required by the institution they plan to attend).
Also, college representatives will be available to help students and their parents to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All information will be provided in English and Spanish.
