Dallas ISD Teachers And Staff To Meet With Parents

Parent Conferences for the spring Semester are Scheduled for March 9, 10, and 12

DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District will be hosting its parent conferences for the spring of the 2008-2009 school year during the week of March 9. The conferences for every school level will be as follows:

• 
  
• Monday, March 9, High Schools, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
• 
  
• Tuesday, March 10, Middle Schools, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
• 
  
• Thursday, March 12, Elementary Schools, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
• 
  

Some of the things that parents can do to prepare themselves for a parent conference or parent-teacher meeting are:

• 
  
• Write down specific questions that you have about your child, and ask the teacher (s).
• 
  
• Write down concerns that you have about your child and discuss them with the teacher (s).
• 
  
• Get all the information that you need from the teacher (s).
• 
  
• Ask for ways to help your child at home.
• 
  
• Follow up with the teacher (s) after the meeting.
•
