8th Annual Event to be held Saturday, February 28
DALLAS-The Dallas Independent School District, the Greater Dallas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, the City of Dallas, area school districts and community organizations, will give away prom dresses and participate in the 8th Annual BuzzFree PROMises Dress Giveaway from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, February 28, at St. Luke UMC Zan Holmes Community Center, 6211 East Grand Avenue. Attendees can start signing in at the event at 7 a.m.
The mission of the event is to encourage, promote and reward safe and healthy choices made by 11th and 12th grade female students who thrive in adverse conditions within our community. The event helps students financially to obtain dresses for the prom and also includes an educational component and an alcohol-free pledge.
