Dallas ISD Is Accepting Recommendatons For Naming of Facilities

Deadline to Submit Name Proposals is March 31

DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District is accepting recommendations for the naming of new facilities under the 2008 bond program and for name changing of existing facilities. Proposals should be submitted by the end of the business day on March 31.

According to Board policy CW Local, Board approval is required for the naming and renaming of all district facilities including schools or distinct portions, such as libraries or auditoriums. Some of the guidelines for naming facilities or portions of facilities include:

Nominations shall be presented in writing on a form provided by the District [see CW (EXHIBIT)] and shall consist of a brief three-paragraph statement that shall contain:



Nominations will only be accepted with completed exhibit. Complete applications may be sent to: Director of Board Services, 3700 Ross Ave., Box 1, Dallas, TX., 75204-5491.
