John Eagle Dealerships to Sponsor School Zone Dallas on WFAA-Channel 8
DALLAS—The latest edition of Dallas ISD's student-hosted show, School Zone Dallas, will air on WFAA-Channel 8, Wednesday, April 15, courtesy of John Eagle Dealerships. The show will air at 6:30 p.m. in place of Entertainment Tonight.
Hosted from Lakewood Elementary, a U. S. Department of Education No Child Left Behind - Blue Ribbon School, School Zone Dallas will feature stories about three after-school dance clubs at Skyline High School where students can express themselves as well as learn about the Hispanic culture; and how students at Adelle Turner Elementary learn the importance of saving and budgeting their finances by opening their own bank account.
Other stories include a look at W. T. White's Longhorn Solar Corps designing and building a solar car, a beeping Easter egg hunt for visually impaired students, and some of Dallas ISD's top graduates.
This year's cast includes co-hosts Niesha Smith, junior, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts; and Flaviano Graciano, senior, W. T. White High School. Reporters on the program are seniors Laura Cardona, W. H. Adamson; Stephanie Aguilera, Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School; Olivia Fragoso, Law Magnet at Townview Center; and Bryce Romney, Woodrow Wilson. Juniors are Lorena Watson, David W. Carter, and Desmond Richardson, Humanities/Communications Magnet at Lincoln.
