Gay Patrick Chosen by Texas Library Association
DALLAS—Dallas ISD Director of Library Media Services Gay Patrick was recently awarded the 2009 Texas Association of School Librarians' Distinguished Administrator Award by the Texas Library Association.
The award honors outstanding administrator advocates who value their libraries and encourages other administrators to become advocates.
As part of the Reform Governance in Action training program, the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees has developed its vision and a set of core beliefs and commitments. The vision of the board is to be the best urban district in the United States. The seventh of their beliefs is: We believe that a supportive community is fundamental to achieving and sustaining our success.
