The Community is Invited to Attend and Provide Input
DALLAS—The Dallas Independent School District's After-School Programs Office will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 14, at Salazar Elementary School, 1120 S. Ravinia, for parents and community members to provide input about after-school programs.
The hearing will take place in the school auditorium. Early arrivals can participate in games and educational activities at a Kids Fair sponsored by local after-school program providers.
The evening's program will feature student performances, including dance teams, music and choreographed routines. Parents can sign up to speak about the need for after-school programs in their schools, and specialists from the After-School Enrichment Department will share information about resources for supplementing and maintaining programs after grant funding periods end.
Following the hearing, parents and community members will convene in the school cafeteria for a catered meal.
