Each High School Senior Selected To Receive $20,000
DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District has selected the 10 high school seniors to receive the 2009 Sulentic Family Foundation Scholarship. These graduating seniors will receive $20,000 each to apply toward the cost of their college education.
The Sulentic Family Foundation established a $1 million scholarship program with Dallas ISD in 2007. Under the terms of this program, the district selects 10 students each year through 2011 to receive scholarships. The recipients are chosen by a selection committee based on having consistently demonstrated integrity and hard work throughout their high school years.
The Sulentics are a local family whose son and daughter attended Dallas ISD schools and are supporters of the district and school system, and would like to help Dallas ISD seniors achieve a college education. "We are thrilled to help this highly ethical and hard working group of students continue their education. The characteristics that led to them receiving these scholarships will also ensure that they make the most of their education," said Bob Sulentic.
