Dallas ISD Summer School Starts Monday, June 8

High School Students Start on June 17

DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District will start its summer classes for elementary and middle school students on Monday, June 8, through Thursday, July 2. The last day for enrollment is Tuesday, June 9.

High School students attending summer school will be in classes from Wednesday, June 17, through Thursday, July 23. Enrollment is scheduled from June 16 through June 18.

Some of the programs included in summer school are elementary extended year program, accelerated reading and math instructional program for elementary and secondary students, secondary credit recovery program, and enrichment programs.

As part of the Reform Governance in Action training program, the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees has developed its vision and a set of core beliefs and commitments. The vision of the board is to be the best urban district in the United States.
