Denver Nuggets Kenyon Martin to Host Fundraiser to Benefit Bryan Adams High School
DALLAS–National Basketball Association (NBA) star Kenyon Martin from the Denver Nuggets, also a Dallas ISD graduate, will host a fundraiser event to benefit his alma mater Bryan Adams High School. The fundraiser is scheduled for Monday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m., at Marc Events, 1130 Dragon St., Suite 120.
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased online at www.KenyonMartinFoundation.org or by calling the Giving Back Fund at (310) 649-5222.
The purpose of the Kenyon Martin Foundation is to provide life changing opportunities to underserved youth as well as assisting families without father figures.
The raised funds will be used to award scholarships to Bryan Adams High School students who are overcoming obstacles in their lives and to purchase uniforms and equipment for students in need of assistance. The Salvation Army Cedar Crest Community Center also will benefit from this event.
The first belief adopted by the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees is: "We believe that every student can perform at or above grade level and graduate college and workforce ready to compete in the global economy."
