Dallas ISD Elementary and Middle School Students Will Benefit
DALLAS—Reliant Energy and the Dallas Independent School District will sponsor the inaugural Reliant Energy "Lights On" School Supply Drive from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday August 17.
Dallas residents interested in donating basic school supplies for elementary and middle school students in the Dallas ISD can drive by one of nine drop-off sites to have their supplies collected by volunteers from Reliant Energy and the Dallas ISD.
Reliant Energy will present a $5,000 check to the Dallas ISD for the purchase of additional school supplies to be distributed among the school supply drive site locations. The check will be presented during the supply drive at 5:30 p.m., at the Dallas ISD Administration Building, 3700 Ross Ave., one of the drop-off sites.

"We believe that educational equity and excellence will eliminate the achievement gap," is the third core belief adopted by the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees.
