Dallas Kicks Off Education: Go Get it Week
16 Sep 2009
From Sept. 21–25, All Students Will Learn and Participate in Higher Education Themed Activities
DALLAS–Dallas Independent School District will host its Education: Go Get it Week from Monday, Sept. 21 through Friday, Sept. 25. The Education: Go Get it Week initiative is a new state requirement to have each school designate one week to promote college awareness and provide information to students regarding higher education.
During the Education: Go Get it Week, schools throughout Dallas ISD will host college awareness themed activities so students in all grades, elementary to high school, learn about the importance of continuing their education beyond high school and also about the available resources and services to pursue a college education.
Below are some of the events that will take place in Dallas ISD schools during Education: Go Get it Week:
- Students and teachers at Walnut Hill Elementary School, 10115 Midway, will have a College T-Shirt Day on Monday, Sept. 21.
