The Books and Teddy Bears to be Donated by KPMG
DALLAS–About 490 pre-kinder through third grade students from Dallas Independent School District's William Anderson Elementary School will each receive a book and a build-a-bear teddy bear at 9 a.m., Monday, Dec. 7.
The books and teddy bears are being donated by the local business KPMG in order to promote reading as a "beary" fun activity for students and encourage them to engage more in reading.
William Anderson Elementary School is located at 620 N. St. Augustine Road.
"Dallas ISD students are showing improvement on college readiness indicators… and (the district) has shown improvement on Broad Prize indicators. Among the comparison Texas urban districts, only Houston ISD slightly outperforms Dallas ISD."
