Cancellations are Scheduled from Thursday through Saturday
DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District is canceling all outdoor athletic activities starting tomorrow Thursday, Jan. 7, through Saturday, Jan. 9, due to the expected severe cold weather. Athletic activities scheduled for indoors will go on as scheduled.
It is also recommended that parents dress their children in layers to keep them warm on their way to and from school.
"Dallas ISD principals and their teachers are no longer focusing on teaching to the test but rather creating academically challenging assignments that will better prepare students for college and the world of work. Dallas ISD has become an exemplar for urban schools as an effort based district that focuses on high achievement for all students."
