A Fashion Show is Scheduled for Friday, Feb. 5
DALLAS–The 9th annual BuzzFree PROMises Dress and Tuxedo giveaway will kick off with a fashion show, Friday, Feb. 5, at 9:30 a.m., at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center, 1201 East Eighth St.
Townview Center students will walk the runway, giving their peers a glimpse of the prom gowns and tuxedos that will be available at this year's BuzzFree PROMises Dress and Tuxedo giveaway, scheduled for Saturday, March 6.
The event will offer free dresses and tuxedos to young women and men who pledge to stay drug and alcohol free on prom night.
The mission of the event is to encourage, promote and reward safe and healthy choices made by students who thrive in adverse conditions within our community.
"Dallas ISD is pioneering a college readiness warning system and we are proud to lend our support to it," in announcing a $3.77 million grant.
