Ebby Halliday Elementary School Scheduled to Open August 2011
DALLAS—Dallas ISD will hold the first of 14 school groundbreakings with a ceremony for the new Ebby Halliday Elementary School Thursday, February 18, at 10:30 a.m., at 10210 Teagarden Rd., the site of the new school.
Superintendent of Schools Michael Hinojosa will join Ebby Halliday along with District 4 Trustee Nancy Bingham, Dallas City Councilmember Tennell Atkins, and a host of other elected officials, community leaders and students to celebrate the groundbreaking.
Named for real estate mogul and business woman Ebby Halliday, the school will be built to accommodate more than 800 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade and will serve as a relief school to Richard Lagow and Nancy Moseley elementary schools.
In addition to standard academic and special education classrooms, the 96,296 square-foot facility will include special needs and behavioral classrooms, science and computer labs and a media center.
Ebby Halliday Elementary School is scheduled to open August 2011.
