Breakfast to Welcome Principal of Prestigious Bugil Academy and Exchange Program Coordinator
DALLAS—A breakfast to welcome visitors from the Bugil Academy in South Korea will be held Thursday, February 25, at 8 a.m., at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center, 1201 E. Eighth Street.
Hyun Joo Shin, principal of Bugil Academy, and Seungtae Lee, exchange program coordinator, are scheduled to visit with the staff and students at Townview for two weeks as part of their Global Partnership exchange program.
Through the program, students and staff from both countries will have the opportunity to share ideas and cultures, develop friendships and partnerships, and broaden their views of the world by participating in the exchange program.
In the fall of 2010, Townview is expected to send 20 of their students and two teachers to visit Bugil Academy for two weeks to engross themselves in South Korean culture. The participants are already preparing for the experience by taking part in Korean language and culture classes.
Last year, Bugil Academy sent 20 students and two teachers from their school to visit Townview.
