Dallas ISD To Host Adult Basic Education Graduation

Seventy-five students are scheduled to receive their diploma on Saturday

DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District's Adult Basic Education department will host its 2010 graduation at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 24, at Skyline High School, 7777 Forney Road.

Seventy-five students from Dallas and Rockwall counties will be honored for achieving their General Educational Development (GED) diploma.

The graduates have passed rigorous examinations in the areas of mathematics, science, social studies and language arts.

"The Dallas Independent School District and the students it serves have made substantial strides over the last several years. Its academic gains have been some of the most impressive in the country, and the district is now viewed as one of the nation's fastest improving urban school systems."
