The Hearing is Scheduled for Tuesday, May 4DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District's After-School Enrichment Programs Department has scheduled a public hearing, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, May 4, in the auditorium at the School Administration Building, 3700 Ross Ave.
The purpose of the public hearing is to give parents, community members, school personnel, and interested citizens, the opportunity to offer input, regarding the impact of after-school programs on districtwide campus planning for the 2010–2011 school year.
Starting at 5 p.m., in the courtyard of the School Administration Building, students will perform and showcase what they have learned during their participation in after-school programs. Performances include a ballet folklorico dance by Anson Jones Elementary School students, handbells by Charles Rice Learning Center students, and cheerleading by James B. Bonham Elementary and L. V. Stockard Middle School students, among other activities. Also, during the hearing, the step team from Thomas Tolbert Elementary School and the drama club from Jerry R. Junkins Elementary School will perform.
