Marion Barber will help motivate students for next week's TAKS testing

DALLAS–Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber will help Dallas Independent School District students at David W. Carter High School get motivated for next week's Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test during a special assembly to be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday,
April 21.

Barber will donate gift cards and autographed Cowboys jerseys to Carter Cowboy students during the assembly in the school auditorium, 1819 W. Wheatland Rd.

"The Dallas Independent School District and the students it serves have made substantial strides over the last several years. Its academic gains have been some of the most impressive in the country, and the district is now viewed as one of the nation's fastest improving urban school systems."
