Administrators Named As Semi-Finalists For Dallas ISD 2010-2011 Principal Of The Year And Assistant/Associate Principal Of The Year

DALLAS—Dallas ISD announced the semi-finalists for the 2010-2011 Principal of the Year and the Assistant/Associate Principal of the Year.

The nominees are selected based on their leadership skills and management effectiveness; parental and community involvement initiatives; and for their professional relationship with students, parents, staff and community.

The 2010-2011 Principal of the Year semi-finalists are:

• Tracie Fraley, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts
• 
  
• Susan Hanke, Seagoville Elementary School
• 
  
• Lynette Howard, J.P. Starks Elementary School
• 
  
• Janet Jones, Highland Meadows Elementary School
• 
  
• Anthony Tovar, Sunset High School

The 2010-2011 Assistant/Associate Principal of the Year semi-finalists are:

• Dinnah Escanilla, Associate Principal, Woodrow Wilson High School
• 
  
• Felicia Gibbons, Associate Principal, W.H. Gaston Middle School
• 
  
• Leslie Swann, Assistant Principal, Lincoln Humanities/Communications Magnet
• 
  
• Alicia Yaliweisei, Assistant Principal, Arcadia Park Elementary School
• 
  
• Irma Zambrano, Assistant Principal, L.L. Hotchkiss Elementary School

The winner and two finalists for each category will be announced at a luncheon honoring the nominees at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 6, at the 42nd Floor Club at Cityplace.

The Assistant/Associate Principal of the Year award is sponsored by the Dallas School Administrators Association.
