Casa View Elementary School to Receive Complete Target School Library Makeover

14 May 2010

Target and The Heart of America Foundation Announce Local School as One of 32 Nationwide
to Receive Gift of New Books, Furniture and Eco-Friendly Design Elements

DALLAS—Target and its nonprofit partner, The Heart of America Foundation, will announce today that Casa View Elementary School will receive a complete library makeover this year. The announcement will take place at 9 a.m., Friday, May 14, at the school, 2100 N. Farola Dr.

As part of the Target School Library Makeover program and the company's ongoing support of education and local schools nationwide, Target Volunteers, Heart of America and local partners will contribute their time, talent and expertise to completely transform the library at Casa View.

The library will be renovated through light construction, new eco-friendly design elements, furniture, shelves, flooring, fresh paint and new computers. Target also will complete the library by donating 2,000 new books and awarding each student with seven new books to start their very own at-home library. The newly-redesigned library will be unveiled this fall, just in time for the new school year.
