Dallas ISD's District 5 Hosts Academic Pep Rally

Pep Rally Scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 16

DALLAS–Dallas Independent School District Board Trustee Lew Blackburn, District 5, will host an Academic Pep Rally for the L.G. Pinkston High School cluster schools, at 9 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 16.

Students who have achieved all 90s in their classes will be eligible to win gift cards and other prizes. Students must bring a copy of their report cards and parents or legal guardians must be present to receive the prize.

The event, celebrating the academic excellence in District 5 schools, will include student performances by the school bands and cheerleaders from L.G. Pinkston High School and Thomas A. Edison Middle Learning Center. The event will take place at L.G. Pinkston High School, 2200 Dennison St.

"Top two public high schools in the country-School for the Talented and Gifted and School for Science and Engineering. Finding great schools is hard; finding our list's two top schools close together in the same building is beyond belief."
