Students and Staff at Raul Quintanilla to Recognize ASIS International for Helping Make Their Campus More Secure

DALLAS—Raul Quintanilla Sr. Middle School recently became the first Dallas ISD middle school to have an extensive security system installed on campus thanks to ASIS International, the largest organization for security management professionals worldwide.

To celebrate the school's security improvements, students, staff, parents and community leaders will rally with ASIS representatives at 10 a.m., Monday, October 11, at the school to recognize the security organization for their contribution.

ASIS selected Quintanilla as the winners of its School Security Funding Competition and donated $20,000 toward making the campus learning environment more secure.

Improvements included adding security cameras throughout the building, new outdoor lighting, two-way radios for campus communications and repairs to the perimeter fencing.

The event will be held in the auditorium and consists of student performances and presentations. Dallas ISD Police and Security and ASIS representatives will be on hand. The rally will be followed by a reception. Quintanilla is located at 2700 Remond Dr.
