The Event is Part of the Super Bowl Recognition and Enrichment Program
DALLAS–As part of the Super Bowl 2011, students from Dallas Independent School District's Moisés E. Molina High School will have the opportunity of participating in ESPN Rise High School Day, a program designed to encourage all students to excel in academics and athletics. The program will take place starting at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 3, at the school, located at 2355 Duncanville Road.
The program provides students an opportunity to expand their horizons, gather resources for educational/career development and address issues that can positively impact them. In addition, with the RISE Leadership Award presentation, the program will recognize students who have demonstrated their ability to excel through sports, academics, and leadership. The ESPN Rise High School Day program also will include a sports panel and breakout sessions addressing topics such as: school/life balance, teamwork, leadership, conflicting challenger, personal empowerment, media awareness, and change management. ESPN representatives, including on-air talent and NFL Alumni players such as Raghib "Rocket" Ismail, former Dallas Cowboys; and Jeff Blake, former Cincinnati Bengals, will be sports panel participants and facilitators for the sessions.
