Dallas ISD To Introduce National Letter Of Intent College Signees

The Signees Will be Honored During an Event on February 2

DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District Department of Athletics will recognize all Dallas ISD senior student athletes who have signed college scholarships for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year during its annual "Meet the Signees" media event on Wednesday, February 2, at noon, at Ellis Davis Field House, 9191 South Polk Street.

Dallas ISD senior students who have signed college scholarships including cross country, football, soccer, track and field, volleyball and basketball early period signees for the 2011–2012 school year will be introduced and honored during the event.

Many of Dallas ISD's 22 high schools which field athletic programs will have athletes represented at the signing day event, which began in the district in 1999. The event is open to the public.

"While deep implementation of district reforms is still a work in progress, the district's ongoing commitment to a common curriculum, collaboration, and proven instructional practices bodes well for future growth in student achievement."
