Official Filing Period For School Board Candidates Now Open

Packets Can be Picked Up at the Board Office Through March 14

DALLAS—The Dallas Independent School District is accepting applications from candidates seeking to run for election to the Dallas ISD School Board in May. Filing packets are available and can be picked up Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Office of Board Services in Dallas ISD's Administration Building, 3700 Ross Ave. The official filing period runs through Monday, March 14, at 5 p.m.

Three seats are up for election:

• District 2, North and Near East Dallas, currently represented by Jack Lowe
• 
  
• District 6, Southwest Dallas, currently represented by Carla Ranger
• 
  
• District 8, Northwest Dallas, Central Dallas and Love Field, represented by Adam Medrano

School board elections take place Saturday, May 14.
