Dallas ISD 11th And 12th Graders Are Invited To A Free College Fair

College Representatives Will Assist in Completing College and Financial Aid Applications

DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District, along with the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas County Community College District and several universities, will host the annual spring semester "Keys to Success" college fair on Saturday, March 5, beginning at 8 a.m. at Cedar Valley College, 3030 N. Dallas Ave., in Lancaster.

The free fair is open to Dallas ISD 11th and 12th graders and their parents. During the fair, participants will learn from college representatives how to prepare for college, how to apply for financial aid, and also will receive assistance submitting college applications. College representatives will be available to help students and their parents to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students need to bring the following documents: a copy of their parents' 2010 income tax return, a copy of their high school transcript, and a copy of their college admissions essay (if required by the institution they plan to attend). All information will be provided in English and Spanish.
