Team Will Defend Title at State
DALLAS—Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts won the 2011 Dallas ISD Mock Trial Competition sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association.
Twenty-four Dallas ISD schools competed in the annual competition for a chance to be one of three schools to represent the district at the Texas High School Mock Trial Competition to be held March 4-5, starting at 8:30 a.m., at the George Allen Courts Building. The Mock Trial Teams from Skyline and Woodrow Wilson high schools will join Booker T. Washington in the state competition.
Booker T. Washington won the state title last year. Skyline won state in 2009.
Jeodecy Johnson, Lincoln High School, was named Outstanding Witness in the Dallas competition, and Taylor Hinojosa, Hillcrest High School, was named Outstanding Advocate.
