Fashion Show are Scheduled for Tuesday, March 22 and Wednesday, March 23
DALLAS-The 10th annual BuzzFree PROMises Dress and Tuxedo giveaway will kick off with two fashion shows. One of the fashion shows will take place Tuesday, March 22, at 9:30 a.m., at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center, 1201 East Eighth St. Another show is scheduled for Wednesday, March 23, at 9:30 a.m., at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, 525 Bonnie View Road.
Students will walk the runway, giving their peers a glimpse of the prom gowns and tuxedos that will be available at this years' BuzzFree PROMises Dress and Tuxedo giveaway, scheduled for Saturday, March 26.
The BuzzFree PROMises Dress and Tuxedo giveaway will offer free dresses and tuxedos to young women and men who pledge to stay drug and alcohol free on prom night. The mission of the event is to encourage, promote and reward safe and healthy choices made by students who thrive in adverse conditions within our community.
Dallas ISD has 66 Exemplary Schools and 59 Recognized Schools during the 2010-11 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.
