A presentation will take place Friday, April 1
DALLAS–Dallas Independent School District's Lenore Kirk Hall Elementary School will donate $2,000 to the American Red Cross for the relief efforts in Japan. A presentation is scheduled for Friday, April 1, at 10 a.m., at the school located at 2120 Keats Dr.
Students and staff raised the $2,000 through various fund raising projects.
Other Japan relief efforts are going on throughout Dallas ISD. The 37 schools in the district's Northeast Elementary Learning Community are in the process of starting a "Help from the Heart Campaign." The schools will have a collection from April 11 through April 22.
Over 90 percent of Dallas ISD schools exceed state TAKS passing standards.
