Graduating Seniors Still Have Time to Apply for Stars on the Rise Scholarship and Others
DALLAS—The deadline for students to apply for the Stars on the Rise Scholarship has been extended to April 15. Scholarship funding ranges from $1,000 to $180,000 and is sponsored by the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The scholarship program considers all graduating high school seniors who meet the following academic requirements: SAT score of 1050 or more; ACT score ranging between 23-25; and a proven record of advanced placement courses. Visit the chamber's Web site at www.gdhcc.com for more information.
The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation is accepting applications for several college scholarships. For more information, visit www.cbcfinc.org/scholarships. Deadline to apply varies from April through June.
