DALLAS—Adan Gonzalez, a senior at W.H. Adamson High School, has been named the 2011 Student of the Year by Junior Achievement of Dallas, an organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy.</>
Gonzalez, president of his senior class, is described by teachers as academically strong, socially well-rounded and committed to excellence. He is also president of the Dallas ISD Teen School Board.</>
Gonzalez says his Junior Achievement experience fueled him to challenge himself to reach his fullest potential to become a leader and a change agent for school and community.</>
The award will be presented at the 13th Annual Junior Achievement Dallas Business Hall of Fame event presented by AT&T, Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P., and Accenture, Saturday, April 30. Gonzalez will serve as the keynote speaker.</>
