The Hearing is Scheduled for Thursday, May 5</>
DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District's Out-of-School Time Department has scheduled a public hearing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Thursday, May 5, in the auditorium at the School Administration Building, 3700 Ross Ave.
The purpose of the public hearing is to give parents, community members, and school staff the opportunity to offer input regarding the impact of after-school programs on districtwide campus planning for the 2011–2012 school year.
During the hearing, students will perform and showcase what they have learned during their participation in after-school programs. Performances will include a play excerpt by the Jerry R. Junkins Elementary School drama club, a dance presentation by students from Erasmo Seguin Community Learning Center. Students from Anson Jones and Nathan Adams elementary schools also will perform during the hearing.
Anyone interested in speaking at the public hearing is encouraged to pre-register by Monday, May 2, by contacting Dedra Arthur at (972) 794-3670. Registration also will be available before the hearing, starting at 5:30 p.m.
