The Event is a Partnership Between NIKE, NFL Players Association, Dallas ISD,and REAL School Gardens
DALLAS–A new, state-of-the-art learning garden will serve as the centerpiece of an event fostering healthy lifestyles and outdoor learning for the more than 850 students at Dallas Independent School District's Ronald E. McNair Elementary School, 3150 Bainbridge Ave., at 9 a.m., on Wednesday, May 4.</>
The event is presented by NIKE NFL PLAYERS Live! In the Community program and will bring together a group of partners committed to building happier, healthier, and smarter children, including the NFL Players Association, Dallas Independent School District, and REAL School Gardens.</>
The event will take place from 9 a.m. until noon and will include a high-energy assembly featuring the Carter High School drum line and remarks by former NFL player and Dallas native Scott Turner. Following the assembly, McNair students will have the opportunity to team up with current and former NFL players in a series of fun and innovative learning stations, including a compost orb relay, a healthy cooking demonstration, an insect investigation, and more.</>
