Laura Bush to Announce 2011 Foundation for America's Libraries Grants

Former First Lady Will Visit Jack Lowe Sr. Elementary School</>

DALLAS–Laura W. Bush will announce the 2011 grantees of the Laura W. Bush Foundation for America's Libraries (LWBFAL) Thursday, May 5, at 10 a.m. at Dallas Independent School District's Jack Lowe Sr. Elementary School, 7000 Holly Hill Dr.</>

Over one million dollars in grants will be given to 241 schools across the United States. Moisés E. Molina High School is another school in Dallas ISD receiving grants.</>

The Laura W. Bush Foundation for America's Libraries was established in 2002 to support the education of our nation's children by providing funds to update, extend, and diversify the book and print collections of America's school libraries. To date, the Foundation has granted $14.1 million dollars to all 50 states, including $5.7 million to rebuild school libraries in the Gulf Coast following the hurricanes of 2005.</>
