Dallas ISD Elementary Schools to Receive Sports Equipment

Non-profit organization 'Navidad en el Barrio' will present the equipment to the schools


DALLAS–Nine Dallas Independent School District elementary schools will receive sports equipment from Navidad en el Barrio, or Navidad in the Neighborhood, as part of the 2011 Spring into Sports awards program. A presentation to the principals of each of the nine schools has been scheduled at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 12, in room 105 of the district's Administration Building, 3700 Ross Ave.</>

The non-profit organization, Navidad in the Neighborhood, collects and distributes sports equipment to elementary schools throughout Dallas-Fort Worth with the purpose of encouraging youth fitness.</>

The nine elementary schools to receive the sports equipment are: William L. Cabell, Mary McLeod Bethune, David G. Burnet, Amelia Earhart Learning Center, Henry B. Gonzalez, William Lipscomb, Maria Moreno, J. W. Ray Learning Center, and Dan D. Rogers.</>
