The purpose of the Summer Food Service Program, which will run from June 6 through August 5, with the exception of July 4, is to ensure the youth throughout Dallas will not go without proper nutrition during the summer months. Approximately 10,000 lunches and snacks will be prepared for distribution weekly.
The participating sites will be located at parks, recreation centers, colleges, churches, and other activity centers throughout Dallas. Among the participating sites are:
· Mooreland Family YMCA, 907 East Ledbetter
· The Salvation Army Pleasant, Grove, 8341 Elam Rd.
· Oak Cliff YMCA, 6701 S. Hampton Rd.
· The Salvation Army Oak Cliff, 1617 W. Jefferson St.
· Pecan Grove Park, 3442 W. Kiest
· Woodland City Alliance of Tenants, 516 N. Jim Miller
· Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1636 N. Masters Rd
· Carolina Chase Apartments, 5351 Peterson Lane
· Enchanted Hills Apartments, 7802 Villa Cliff Dr.

DALLAS–The Dallas Independent School District's Food and Child Nutrition Services, in conjunction with the Texas Department of Agriculture and other sponsors, will provide free lunch and snacks to Dallas children and youth, ages one through 18, through the Summer Food Service Program.
