The Dallas County Health and Human Services Department will host a free immunization clinic
DALLAS–School and health officials are encouraging parents to beat the back-to-school rush and take their children to get immunized early. The Dallas County Health and Human Services Department will host a free immunization clinic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, July 16, at Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 7550 S. Hampton Road.
The students' immunizations records will be required. For future immunization clinics, please contact the DCHHS at 214-819-2100 or visit their Web site www.dallascounty.org/hhs.
Also, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas is hosting Care Van Free Immunizations events for children ages 2 months through 18 years of age. The first event is scheduled for Saturday, July 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Greenville Avenue Church of Christ, 1013 S. Greenville Ave., in Richardson. Immunization records will be required. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please visit the Web site www.carevan.org for future Care Van Free Immunizations events.
Students must provide evidence of required immunizations by the first day of school, Monday, August 22, to comply with guidelines established by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Immunization records from a physician or health clinic, which provides the month, day and year for each vaccine, are required.
