Dallas ISD Program Designed to Enhance Middle and High School Success Starts August 8
DALLAS—Students entering middle and high school this year can get a jump on academics by participating in the Early Start Summer Academy which begins Monday, August 8 and runs through Thursday, August 11, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Students attending the academy will have the opportunity to get a head start on critical objectives in math, science, and English language arts which will be covered during the first six weeks of school. Participants also will be able to familiarize themselves with their school, teachers, and other classmates.
Last year, 1,500 students took advantage of the program which has been credited for helping increase academic performance among the participants. Approximately 2,000 students are expected to participate this year.
