WHAT: The Dallas Independent School District will host a teacher job fair this weekend to seek certified teachers. Immediate teaching opportunities are available in: Early Childhood (pre-kindergarten); Elementary (1-6); Bilingual; Choir; Band; English; French; and Industrial Technology.

WHEN: 8:30 a.m. -1 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 1998, at Cesar Chavez Learning Center, 1710 North Carroll Avenue.

HOW: Principals will be interviewing and making hiring recommendations. The district's beginning salary is $28,500. Candidates should bring references, teaching certificate and transcript, if possible.

OTHER: The Dallas Independent School District is offering a $1,500 signing incentive for all 1998-99 new teachers; a $1,000 signing incentive for bilingual teachers; a $3,000 annual stipend for bilingual teachers; a $1,000 annual stipend for math or science teachers, grades 7-12.
