Washington, D.C. Awaits Earhart Learning Center Students
Students from Amelia Earhart Learning Center will board a motorcoach Thursday, April 24, at 6:30 a.m. The 11-day educational odyssey will culminate with five days in Washington, D.C. The students collected $14,000 thanks to the support of local churches, businesses, individuals and school events. Their itinerary includes overnight stays in Memphis and stops in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. While in Washington, D. C., some of their stops include the White House, Arlington Cemetery, Howard University. The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic site in Atlanta is among the sites they will visit on their way to Dallas.
