The Dallas Independent School District is inviting educators to attend a teacher recruitment job fair at Molina High School, 2355 Duncanville Rd., from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13. This event was previously scheduled to be held at Skyline High School.
The district has most need for teachers who hold certificates in early childhood education (PK-K), general elementary (1-6), bilingual education, ESL, secondary science, secondary mathematics and special education (all levels).
Among the hiring incentives offered (one-time pay on first paycheck) are:
•$1,500 to the first 1,000 teachers to sign contract (any subject area) and report to work
•$1,500 to dual certification teachers (in critical subject fields listed above)
•$500 to bilingual teachers
•$500 to math teachers (7-12)
•$500 to science teachers (7-12)
•$500 to special education teachers (all grades)
•$500 to early childhood teachers (PK-K)
In addition, stipends are paid annually to teachers in the following fields:
•$3,000 bilingual
•$1,000 math (7-12)
•$1,000 science (7-12)
•$500 special education
•$500 Spanish
