DISD Public Hearing On Budget and Tax Rate Set For Aug.22

The Board of Trustees of the Dallas Independent School District invites the community to comment on the district's proposed general operating budget for the 2000-01 school year at a meeting scheduled for 5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the school district's budget that will determine the tax rate that will be adopted. The Board is scheduled to adopt the proposed 2000-01 budget on Thursday, Aug. 24.

The Board will allow time for questions and comments from members of the audience. The public hearing will be held in the auditorium of the Dallas Independent School District Administration Building, 3700 Ross Avenue.
