Big Tex Welcomes DISD Schoolchildren To The State Fair Of Texas Oct. 13 & 20

Embracing a community tradition, the Dallas Independent School District has designated two non-school days to allow students to attend the State Fair of Texas. The DISD elementary schools fair day is Oct. 13, and the middle and high schools fair day is Oct. 20.

Free tickets are available at schools for those students who plan to be among the expected 3.5 million visitors attending the State Fair of Texas this year. The fair opens Sept. 29 and goes until Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
