A delegation of Dallas citizens, parents and educators will kick-off the blankets early on Tuesday, February 6, and board a 56-passenger bus to Austin in hopes of making a lasting impact in the education of the city's schoolchildren.
This delegation will provide the local representation in the Parent, Community and Stakeholder Legislative Day 2001 event in Austin. This activity enables DISD stakeholders to interact with public officials and legislators, gather information and provide input into legislation that will affect Dallas children and the education system.
The group will leave at 6 a.m. from the parking lot of the School Administration Building, 3700 Ross Avenue (corner of San Jacinto and Pecos). The itinerary for the Dallas delegation is listed.
