Students are Winners of 'Box Tops for Education' Program
WHAT: Mavs representatives Greg Buckner, Gary Trent and Mavs Man will visit with the winners of the General Mills "Box Tops For Education" program.
WHEN: Thursday, March 8, 2 p.m.
WHERE: Harry C. Withers Elementary School gymnasium, 3959 Northaven Road (Mapsco Key 24A)
OTHER: For the second consecutive year, General Mills has donated 100 tickets to the Dallas Independent School District for each Mavs home game, promoting their "Box Tops For Education" program. The program enables students to earn money for the schools. Students are encouraged to save box tops and turn them in at their school. The schools then ship the box tops to General Mills and in return General Mills issues a check to the school.
The students at Harry C. Withers Elementary School turned in the most box tops of participating schools in the DISD, and for their effort they won an appearance by Buckner, Trent and Mavs Man.
Directions: From downtown Dallas: Take I-35E North to the Dallas North Tollway. Follow the Dallas North Tollway to the Royal Lane exit. Turn left onto Royal Lane and follow to Midway. Turn right on Midway. Turn left onto Northaven Road and the school will be located at 3959 Northaven Road.
