WHAT: The Hispanic Community Advisory Council will host its 10th Annual Health Fair to bring closer to home services and resources to the students and families in the Hernandez Elementary, Maple Lawn Elementary and Rusk Middle School area of Dallas.
Entertainment includes karate demonstrations by Rusk Middle School students, choir and folklorico performances by Obadiah Knight and Edison-Hernandez elementary students.
WHEN: Saturday, March 31 at 9 a.m. Maria Luna Park & Boys and Girls Club, 4500 Maple Avenue.
WHY: The following services will be provided free of charge: Immunizations, health screenings, dental exams, oral cancer screening, depression screening, blood pressure tests or screenings, HIV testing, eye exams and diabetes screenings.
In addition, there will be information about managed care, including Medicaid and CHIP, home buying , GED, car seat safety and code compliance.
