Hats Off! to Dallas teachers Dallas ISD Council of Parent-Teacher Associations Salutes Teachers for Their Dedication
With another school year almost over, the more than 10,000 DISD teachers are still making lesson plans, assigning homework and grading papers in an effort to inspire the schoolchildren they are charged to educate.
In the midst of teachers' busy activities, the Dallas Council of Parent-Teacher Associations and the Dallas Independent School District do not want the year to end without honoring these educators for their dedication to students attending the Dallas Independent School District. The 15th Annual Hats Off! To Dallas Teachers is a celebration scheduled by the Council from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, at The Women's Museum at Fair Park to recognize teachers. This event is an avenue for parents and the community to convey a heartfelt appreciation they have for the teachers who prepare the young people today for their roles in society tomorrow, said William Robinson, the Council president. "Hats Off! is an annual event to say thank you to our teachers for providing our children with the knowledge and skills to be successful citizens," he added.
More than 15,000 teachers and a guest are invited to the free event which includes a reception, entertainment and an award presentation. Also, door prizes will be presented. The major sponsor of Hats Off! To Dallas Teachers is ING Aetna Financial Services. Other supporters are Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Greater Asian American Chamber of Commerce.
